REMINDER: There will be no Olympic Lifting classes this week.
The 2024 CrossFit Games have come to an end. Honestly it just sits a little different. I was more interested in seeing the updates from the athletes instead of the results from the competition. With the number of athletes who decided to withdraw each day it didn't seem like a true competition. Not to take anything away from the winners, they worked hard, but it was an incomplete field. Plus many of those competing were under lots of emotional stress.
Yes, someone died in the first event on the swim. It was tragic, but pushing the body to its limits, especially in the water carries an inherent risk. Almost a dozen people passed this year alone in the swim portion of Triathlons.
There is tons of talk on both sides, but right now its just talk, emotions, and heresay. The police will be performing an investigation and determine the cause and if CrossFit had proper safety protocols in place. Unfortunately, this will take time. Its easy to jump on a bandwagon, but I am hopeful that CrossFit had done everything correct and it was just a tragic accident. I will wait until the investigation is concluded before passing judgement.

1 Set x 3 Reps @ 7-8 RPE
4 Sets x 1 Reps @ 8-9 RPE
Rest :90sec to 2 minutes between sets.
B) 50-40-30-20-10
Kettlebell Swings
Goblet Reverse Lunge
After each set:
10 Toes to Bar/V-Sit
Time Cap: 15 Minutes
