Carnivore Update. The diet was not a drastic change for me, as I do tend to already eat lots of beef. So the first week adjustment seems to have been easy. It eliminates alot of food choice when cooking and groceries. I pretty much eat some eggs when I wake up, and lunch and dinner is ground beef with some bacon.
I won't bother weighing myself until the final week. I do realize that because of the lower level of carbs I will drop some weight the first week in water. Overall my body feels great, mind is clear, absolutely no food cravings. Workout performance has been on par, sleep has been normal.
I did a rough estimate on macros and calories and I am getting just under 2000 cals a day, which is very low for me. About 200 grams of protein, 30-40 grams of carbs, and about fat. I only did this calculation after 5 days of eating to satiety to determine what my body feels comfortable at eating, then do the math to find out what the numbers are.
I will be curious see what the final weight will be. I started this at almost 220 without that much fat to loose, but with the very high level of protein I am eating and my training i can't see myself loosing any muscle mass. So it will be curious to see the final body composition. I did a preliminary body fat measurement and was at 9.2%
