We have a new timer. You might not find it very exciting, but anyone who has used our remote will appreciate it. The timer we have is very old, but it was the simplest and easiest to use clock I ever found. I bought the newer one that sits at the front of the gym as a replacement last year and was very disappointed in the remote and how hard it was to use. Unfortunately the company that made the clock we currently are using went out of business several years ago. So getting replacement remotes has been a hard journey. I called old suppliers, searched eBay, and gyms that were closing and managed to get a few remotes over the years. We are down to our last one, the buttons are all worn off, held together with tape, some of the buttons no longer work, and its range has reduced to a dismal range.
I am excited for the new clock and I really hope it lives up to my expectations.
This is a reminder that for Victoria Day we will be running Murph.
1 mile run
100 pull ups
200 push ups
300 squats
1 mile run
Supposed to be done with a 20/14 pound vest.
For most people this will take more than an hour to do, even without a vest. The good news, it takes very little room so we can accommodate many people. Juan and Victoria will be starting heats every 30 minutes. If you are new to CrossFit, Murph is like a right or passage. It is one of the most famous / infamous workouts. A real test of endurance and mental toughness.
