24.1 Open Recap

It was very exciting watching everyone perform 24.1 over the last couple of days. The energy in the gym was incredible. People were nervous, had doubts, but everyone pushed through and gave it everything they had.
I have been working out for so long that I rarely remember what I did yesterday as a workout. But, believe me, I remember every open workout I have done. I know they are going to be very tough workouts, but I know it’s also the opportunity to test myself in a globalized standard test. It’s a great metric to see when I do repeat them, how my fitness has evolved over the years. I have over 13 years of open workouts under my belt and some I would be excited to redo, and some I have sworn I would never do again.
For those who were able to grab a massage afterward I am sure it was appreciated. I will try to organize something similar next year as well. The therapists were really happy to have the opportunity to work with some athletes.

Monday
A) Power Cleans
Work to a 5 Rep Max
Perform touch and go reps for all sets.
Rest 2 Minutes between sets.
B) EMOM 12:
Min 1: Box Jumps x 5 Reps
Min 2: 10 Deadlifts + 5 Hang Power Cleans
Choose a weight for the barbell where all reps can be done unbroken.
