This weeks open was a very different type than last week. It was a much longer workout with 20 minutes of work no matter what. This simply means the fitter you are, the more work you got done. Unlike the first one which the fitter you were the faster you finished. AMRAPS rise in difficulty the fitter you are.
The first week was fairly simple and tested your cardio. This week was two simpler lower skill movements and one high skill movement, the double under. If your double under skills weren’t excellent it got harder every round as you got more exhausted. So this week tested your longer conditioning as well as skill and skill preservation.
If I was to guess what this week will bring I would say some gymnastics movement, either toes to bar or pull ups, and unfortunately thrusters. I am hoping it won’t have wall walks, it’s a newer movement, but a very punishing movement.
I was out of town this weekend so unfortunately I am doing it Monday. I had listened to many people who have done it and I will be pacing it hopefulyl well.
Reminder: If you are registered for the official CrossFit Open you have to submit your scores by 8pm tonight.
