The time has come, the 2023 CrossFit Open is starting this week. On Thursday the workout will be live streamed, I will share the link when it becomes available, and we will be doing the workout on Friday for the class.
It’s an exciting 3 weeks where the emotions and excitement run high. Anticipation for what the workout is going to be, everyone guessing at what it could be. Watching the announcement, which is alway entertaining, and seeing what the workout is. Then watching live 2 CrossFit Games athletes go through the workout live with little time to prepare for it. We then all assemble on Friday classes and try to emulate what we saw the professionals do.
Don’t worry, there are always scaled options. We will spend the class talking about strategy, scaling options, and working on the required skills for the workout.
This is a great time of the year when everyone can shake off those winter blues and get a little competitive. Pushing yourself to see where you are at.

Are there any regularly scheduled classes (eg. Soul crusher, partner wod) on Saturday, or are we just doing the Open workout?
For the Friday and Saturday classes, are you allowed to just show up as normal or is it reserved for people participating in / registered for the open ?
