Monday is an exciting day, a total solar eclipse. While it is not a 100% totality, Ottawa is going to get 98.5% coverage, it will be more than we have seen in many decades. The kids are out of school today, which means mine will be with me at the gym. You are more than welcome to bring your little ones along for the workout.
I plan on watching with my kids with Eclipse glasses. If you weren’t fortunate to get glasses in time, there are many ways you can safely watch this amazing event. The Weather Network has a great article explaining the eclipse, why we need to take precautions, as well as how to view it safely if you do not have glasses.
If you plan on watching this amazing display of nature it will start around 2pn with the peak darkness being reached at 3:25.
There are some great places to view it within Ottawa if you are interested.
